Description

Inspired by all the old westerns where someone made it through the desert, only to die drinking "alkalye water". I had eye surgery, so haven't been posting much; I apologize for not commenting much either. Between work, electrical blackouts and the heat everyone seems to be suffering with, this image might be appropriate. Terragen (2 renders) plus a photo sky addition; misters vulture and Gila monster are from web photos. World machine standard terrains. The surface details here are incredible. The sky with the postworked clouds and terrain colors are in beautiful harmony. I like the algae around the shore of the alkaline lake. Excellent composition Paul.

Great terrain and atmosphere, the eagle in the far is the small point which make your image life. The water in the foreground: Hey, that remembers me to Babylon 5, looks like the shadow of the dark enemy shadow-ships ;-)
