Some suggestions: -try some mixed textures repartition (from top to down)on procedural terrain, -change scale of trees, -change trees repartition (more in the valley, very few on the top; or inverse situation with some water lake or river), -change the brightness of the trees, may be with some lighting texture (test different possibilities), depending on sun direction. Hope it will be helpfull, can't wait to see what you might do with it.
