I took this pic of a saddleback caterpillar a few yrs back while it was crossing our picnic table out back. It was brought to my attention by tvoboy that it looks like it

I have seen these but not like this one..this one looks much more ferocious. Thanks for the nice macro.

It's the poison in the spines that hurts....I have brushed against these a couple of times, and they are very painful and leave a burning sensation that lasts a long time.
