Description
Of the Seven Portals into the Realms, only one is not located at ground level and near an easily recognizable geographic marker. This unique Portal has become known as the Fyrefly Gate because it is located above Glamdor, close to the favored cruising altitude of the fabled Flame Dragons (or Fyrefly, as they prefer to be known). On very warm days when there are strong updrafts, flying too high can lead to an inadvertent trip through the Portal. Fortunately for the disoriented Fyrefly, the aerial entry point to the Realms is within sight of Flame Dragon Peak and the glowing statue of Bhe'konn that stands vigil there. None can say who made the strange castle keep nearby, but the Fyrefly folk have adopted it as their home away from home - hoping to one day rediscover the location of that elusive gateway in the sky....
Something tells me I'll be revisiting this one again soon....
