*** August 12, 2006 The security alarm at the Illuminatus Hordus World Bank on Fifth and Succom was triggered in the early hours of the morning. Officer Martin Lory of the BFEPD was in the area, along with his friend Flash Quickfinger, a photographer intent on capturing images of the Perseid meteor shower with his specially rigged camera. The two quickly investigated the situation and found no intruders, no damage to the building, and no sign of foulplay. Upon deactivating the alarm and leaving the scene Lory says they heard an "unspeakable screech from overhead" and that a shape dropped on them from the four-story roof of the financial institution. Quickfinger managed to get off one quick photo before he was eviscerated in less than a second. Officer Lory, who was not harmed by the creature, is in stable condition at the County Hospital and is expected to make a full recovery. Relatives say he is not the same man. Experts say the creature was probably a starving bird of prey, perhaps a wayward condor or unusually large owl, and that the alterations Quickfinger made to his camera produced the unusual distortions in the image. *** :) Mothman by Sixusmedia
