Description

I came up with the title and theme, because I had intentions of leaving poser work for a while, after my short but enjoyable stint at it. Actually I wanted to quit last week, but a few added me to their favorites, so I had to do one more ;) Wanted to make it a little dramatic and emotional, but still natural, hope it comes across ok. The image is not really finished, but I ran out of time in the end. Created in Poser 6. I actually started out with Manhatten's skin, but Ioli including the make-up with the runny tears, ended up being perfect for the scene (without me having to even touch the texture). The only thing that remained were Manhatten's eyes. Both skins are from Danae and they are gorgious. I also used Kathy's hair, which is incredibly versatile and looks really natural. The figure is V3 with custom head morphing by myself using Daz's head morphs. Finally used Unimesh skin shader and Occlusion Master to get even more realistic looking skin and Fireworks for touch ups. Please leave me a comment. Will hopefully be able to work with Poser again some time in the future. In the meantime I'll enjoy all your great work!! :) Thanks for looking.

thanks for all the kind comments... mikeerson, I don't think I'm the right person to ask, as you noticed quite correctly I just started only about 4 weeks ago and there is some brillant talent in these galleries, much more qualified then I am... the best tip I can give you is, if you see an image with a particular effect, lighting, skin, pose, etc you really like send the artist a specific question (don't be too broad and keep it to 1 or 2 questions at a time) and usually they're more than happy to help you out... in fact I've always gotten an answer and some amazing tips that way, certainly fast tracked my learning experience

Makes me want to give her a hug! One thing I'd do is use a long lens, that is, set the zoom higher and position the camera further away. That will avoid the skinny neck and bulgin face look. I don't remember how to do that in Poser--I gave it up for DAZ|Studio, which, in spite of being free, has a user interface that I find MUCH easier. Still, your work is some of the best beginner work I've seen! You must have some kind of digital art background.
