Description

O.K. I did my homework this time....i found a really cool anime site with member art and examples and explanations of what manga and anime is and what is important in a character..and i wanted to thank Mcafee2000 for pointing out my obvious misunderstanding of what this style of art intailed..It has such a deaper meaning than just being a cartoon.and i look at it in a whole diffferent way now. The technique i used here i found in a Tutorial by snowsultan ..it is such a cool way to do this..you parent your character and clothes to a Ball(primative)then parent the ball to a box(primative)then you shrink your Z scale down to 18% in the box flattening your character and clothes..Then you use the ball to turn your character without loosing perspective or seeing the flattness..it is pretty amazingly well thought out..and looks pretty close to what i wanted...i then used a filter called Poster edges to get the stiff gradient and pronounced lines. I liked the last image i did but i see now i really couldnt call it anime as the style is to complex and busy..now that i have some guidlines i think i wont make that mistake again.Hope you enjoy..

You make it sound so easy Bill. I love how this turned out. Was it all done in Poser with just a filter used outside of Poser? Excellent, amazing work buddy!

Well you kind of lost me with the ball and box Bill, but this image is really sensational anime art! I've tried to do something like this many times and failed terribly, so I'm really impressed by what you've accomplished here! Outstanding art!

Ah yes Snowsultan's Z-toon tutorial now that was a very informative and helpful one. Hmm maybe if I combine that with Poser 6 toon render engine it will add more life to my anime style renders. Thanks for the PS ideas for postwork as well, it never occured to me to try that. Some great ideas you gave me here, thank you. Excellent work.

Bill, is that tutorial on this site? I would not have thought this was possible with Poser. It is a fascinating break from the usual fare. Nice going.
