Description

This is a deep Mandelbrot zoom into an unusual location. It has hundreds of minature spirals inbedded in the larger spirals. In addition, in the spots where you would normally look for midget Mandies, you find midget Julias. Thank you so much for all the kind comments for "Nested Julias" :)

This is a very nice Harlequin. The colours work well together. The most interesting thing is the difference layer that contains the hundreds of minature spirals, this creates a good negative effect (black on white and vice versa, in this case creams/golds on reds/browns). This adds detail to otherwise bare areas and makes the image feel as if it were expanding outwards infinitely. A great concept and one which has given me inspiration. Thanks for sharing.

I agree that this is a lovely Harlequin! I like the neutral tonal colors and the changing light, and the texture layer adds one more element of interest. Beautiful, Mary!
