Description

Playing around with screen captures again... This is the Microsoft Train Sim hosting the Maple Leaf Tracks "Cascade Crossing" add-on. The train are an AMTRAK from Train-Sim.com and the steamer is from Train Artisans. What's going on? Another activity I built involving running a special steam excursion. We see it passing through the Passenger Station in Eugene, Oregon. The AMTRAK train is waiting for our special to clear the area. What started out as a really good screen capture, great camera angle and lighting (it's near sunset and that's where our excursion is heading off into) got a bit more interesting as I started to add texture and then called in filters that suggest impressionist paintings. To avoid loosing too much detail, I layered the original with about 65% opacity over the impressionist layer. The vignette is obvious. Now all you train lovers have a great image to print out and hang over your calendars. I gotta get out and shoot something live!!!! 8-D Enjoy; thanks for viewing.
