Description

This is a piece I did some time ago that I wanted to use for a series for a gallery exhibition some day, I wanted to show the darker side of life, the struggle that some face in the ghettos of the world . . . . kind of an ANTI-ROCKWELL view of things, now don't get me wrong I LOVE Norman Rockwell's stuff, he's GREAT! But I just wanted to depict things that weren't so "apple pie" and "happy" there's a whole other world out there. . . . anyways I hope you like it, it's one of my favorite pieces! The tableau of color sets the mood for this , man ,love the form and highlights on this i think you captured dispair. Heres an idea for ya you might want to think about posting your work at the Cg society. org great networking and mingleing with the advanced crowd you should do well!

And with good reason! The few times I have done the light colors on black paper, I loved the results! This is a fabulous, rich piece!! The lighting is perfect!!

This is outstanding art. His expression and body language say more than words ever could. This is a powerful portrayal of despair. Excellent drawing in every way.
