Description

Hi folks. This is a shot I took yesterday. As a painter, figures and portraiture were always 'it' for me,and nothing else.Oddly enough, with photography,my goal is much broader...but...I still find portraiture the genre that draws me the most. In the past,I would say that my portrait shots have been more of the 'glamour' type, only accentuating beauty, and saying little else. I'm hoping this one 'says' a little more...So I am leaving this untitled.I don't wish to give any clues as to my intent. If I succeeded,it will 'say' enough, all by itself...If not, well, tomorrow's another day, lol. Thank you for taking the time to look at and/or comment on this,or any of my work, for that matter. It means a lot to me and I value your opinions highly. Have a wonderful week everyone! Sincerely, Marlene :^)

Oh look, Meg found grover. He's on her forehead, waving and smiling for the camera like he always does. P.S. The crop is perfect.

Huh! She's still you're little girl I presume - but she's growing into a beautiful young woman - excellent shot! (The "huh" is included to show amazement at the idea and execution:)

this is a lovely photo...she is so beautiful, and the expression on her face is timeless...she looks as if she is about to say something mind-altering

Gosh Andreas, don't be such a kiss ass! ;^P Well, he's right about one thing, this is an awsome portrait of Meg. The band-aid and its cartoon characters hint at childhood, but her beautiful face leaves no doubt about the beautiful woman she's becoming. Bravo!

A great unintentional contrast. The dusky eyeshadow makes the girl appear as though she is reaching towards becomming an adult while the Sesame Street bandage shows a longing for childhood. A very nice comentary on the transitional period children go through.
