Description
The Great Queen/King Hatshepsut (Maatkare) 1473 - 1458 BCE. Here she is depicted as a King. Hatshepsut was an 18th-dynasty pharaoh who was one of the handful of female rulers in Ancient Egypt. Her reign was the longest of all the female pharaohs, and her funerary temple still stands as a tribute to her incredible rise to power. She was by her choice almost always portrayed as a male to justify her right to rule the Two Kingdoms.

The photo is very detailed and the statue really stands out against the black backgound. Terrific photography tho I would have liked just a bit more information in the intro. I think it would have enhanced this excellent presentation even more.
