Prospector on Drango Four by Denger

"Taken from the gig's starboard viewport. This 100 d-ton Type-J Seeker is a common sight within the Imperium, but perhaps it is even more commonly seen outside of the Imperial border. It seems somewhat unusual to find one here on Drango Four, however. Drango is a remote system for the limited range of such a small ship. Judging from the upper bay doors, this particular Seeker is involved either in prospecting or in geophysical survey work. No crewmembers responded when we hailed their ship; it may be assumed they are out in the field conducting their work."

I'd recognise that shape anywhere. Nice bit of blending between real and CG.

When all my friends were "DM's" for D&D...I was reffing Traveller. I loved that game, and it stimulated my imagination X 1000. I would make elaborate scenarios, only to have my friends fly off in the other direction! LOL. That prompted me to develop a random planet/race/civ/ship..etc..system. I then created worlds on the fly and dropped in pre-made scenarios where ever they would fit! Wow, I haven't thought of that in years! Thanks for the memories!! This ship reminds me of the scout ship? Love the Martian like planet!! Super narrative!!

A new way to make a scene photograph a physical model and integrate it. cool render. It has been years since I played traveller but I remember it like I played yesterday.

A good followup to this would be a shot from inside the seekers cockpit. Outside you see the desolate landscape of Drango Four. In the sky you see the POV ship from this picture. And, in a lower corner, you see a bloody hand reaching for the controls. It always seems to me that something very bad is going on here. Very dramatic.
