Description

*Sigh* Other than my Anime-styled Drawing of a V-day gift for a female friend, I kinda left this gallery unattended. I did have more artwork up, but heh, I kinda removed it all. Anyway, it's modeled all in Wings3D and Rendered using the Toxic Engine plugin with the latest versions of Wings. I'd rip the description from my DeviantART gallery, but, I can essentially just say what it took to make this. Model, for the most part, is done, aside from some minor changes, it's sitting at 89,122 polygons, with some tweaks, it'll go lower, and with some subtely added details, will probably get those removed polygons back again. Took 4 hours and 39 minutest to render - culprits being me not stepping away from my computer and playing a few webgames while it rendered, as well as checking e-mail and all that happy stuff, as well as 18 lights in the scene - 1 primary, 17 secondaries. This may have been dropped down in rendering time if Toxic didn't call the Runtime to close it when using FINAL GATHERING - of which I'd have only needed one or 2 lights. Haven't figured out why it does that, still exploring it to see if I can find the "Goldilox Setting" that can get me what I need in terms of showing details off, and getting faster rendering times. I haven't exactly ruled out that it might be the cube itself that this is standing...err.. walking in. Anyway, off to a moree practical description: It's inspired by the Mad Dog/Vulture of BattleTech, changed enough so that I can use it for my own uses without any legal trouble. It looks back heavy intentionally - so it fits with being hard to pilot, while having a lot of firepower with it. EVERY Missile Tube on this has a missile in it, which accounts for probably 8-12 thousand of the polygons in the scene, I haven't counted them, and it's probably lower than those numbers. Anyway, if you want to see any of my other work that isn't up here, inclusing images that were scrapped, feel free to poke around my DA gallery at: http://acedarkfire.deviantart.com
