Very striking! Quite a contrast between the dead trees and the surrounding, lush survivors.

Looks like some swamps we have around here, or area where they have backed up the water and once lush forests have become marshes. Striking image!

The concept of death is a 'man made' idea. In nature there is no death only rebirth, or if you wish, recycling. We are the only species that knows about death, all other living things have no understanding or concept of death. So looking at these trees standing tall among the rising waters of the river, we are observing not a decline or the end of life, rather the nurturing of a future. By understanding that death is only another stage in the cycle of life, we may begin living life and not fearing death. So live life to the fullest and you shall not fear death when it comes for you will have no regrets about the live you have lived. This is what I have learned since my open heart surgery. Egmont

Such a beautiful scenery! Fit to be the decoration of horror movie or something. For some reason it reminds me of the cover for "The exorcism of Emily Rose"...infact all your photos do. You have a way of capturing mood like no other. Have a great day! #:O)

Beautiful photograph. This is a photo that could have been taken in the S.E. part of the United States, as it looks like a photo of the swamps here in North Carolina. Wonderful capture. HUGS!!!
