Description

Hi All, Unusual post for me today. I took the pic a while back and never thought to use it, but today as I drove home from work I saw something that made me want to. I was driving down the hill with my mind in neutral when I saw a pidgeon waddling up the hill the other side of the road. A car drove up behind it without seeing it and ran it over. The pidgeon saw the wheel at the last moment and tried to fly out of the way but was too slow. It was no doubt killed outright by the 2 tonne 4x4 car. I know the driver did not mean to do it and will not even know about it. The only person who knows is me. The only thing that witnessed the passing of it's soul was me. So I have been thinking about the pidgeon this evening. It did not know when it awoke this morning that it would be the last day, that it's death would be so sudden. It made me think about how precious life is. Not just our lives, but all life. I don't believe in re-incarnation..I know many do, but I don't. So to me that pidgeon's life was like the smallest, specklike splinter of life in the vast eternity of darkness in that soul's existence. How precious all life is! So I made sure I had a good chat with my flat mate to find out how her day had been, I have emailed some old friends to see how they have been...and I thought how important this picture actually is...I know its only a daisy to you and I but to that daisy it is the splinter. Have a safe a lovely day all...sorry about the morbid nature of the post..but I have been thinking about it all evening. Rob you may like my blog - My Blog

Beautiful pic and beautiful story. I can tell you have a good heart to worry so about a poor creature. Hopefully this person did this unintentially.....some do these things on purpose.

We barely remember who or what came before this precious moment, We are Choosing to be here right now. Hold on, stay inside... This holy reality, this holy experience. Choosing to be here in... This body. This body holding me. Be my reminder here that I am not alone in This body, this body holding me, feeling eternal all this pain is an illusion. Alive This holy reality, in this holy experience. Choosing to be here in... This body. This body holding me. Be my reminder here that I am not alone in This body, this body holding me, feeling eternal all this pain is an illusion... Of what it means to be alive Swirling round with this familiar parable. Spinning, weaving round each new experience. Recognize this as a holy gift and celebrate this chance to be alive and breathing chance to be alive and breathing. This body holding me reminds me of my own mortality. Embrace this moment. Remember. we are eternal. all this pain is an illusion. --Maynard James Keenan Your post made me instantly think of this song, which is so precious to me. I'm very glad to know that you are one of the lights in the world. You understand that there is more to it all than the material, reductive "modern life" we're all so immersed in. Beautiful photograph, sacred concept.

All life is precious be it plant, animal or human. Perhaps it's purpose was to serve as a reminder to you of how precious life is and share it here with us. Beautiful picture, the colors work well together. Love the soft effect and frame.
