Description

My brother just informed me that the title of this picture is that of an "adult" movie star with the same name. It was completely unintentional, but I thought it was pretty funny after the fact. Anyway, I hope you'll all enjoy this; the render was a bit tricky to pull off, and I expect to do a full resolution build with better textures soon. Due to the atmosphere being so bright (To bring out the sun shape), I had to greatly reduce the camera exposure. That brought up the issue of using snow surfaces, as they become gray. To help counteract this issue, I used light colors in my shadowing and increased their lightness up to around 45%. Anyway, I just thought I'd give you guys a little insight into how some of these effects are put together; and though I continue to upload my atmosphere packs at Terranuts.com , they may not work right out of the box as most would think. IF at anytime one of you needs some help in using an atmosphere, please do not hesitate to ask me, I'll try and be as helpful as I can. Thanks for viewing... I hope you'll all enjoy. -Aaron T.

Very tricky one! I love it, the tints are lovely, the atmo masterful and the big sun is magnificent with just a hint of clouds. I wouldn't change anything.

Just wonderful!! I LOVE the colours esp. Love the snow surfacing - both colour and distribution - you've done a great job with this one (despite it's title!! LOL)

Simply amazing. Beautiful color pallette... the sky, surfacing and terrain are exceptional. I'm still playing with big suns but have not yet achieved a single one... :) Stunning work.

Cool Aurora! About the snow lighting in a low exposure scene you could also try to apply a white bitmap overlay and in the advance properties of overlay, set the brightness and contast to 3-4X. This could help to better control surfaces illumination.
