Description

Created as my entry to the Carrara landscape contest at digitalpainters.net. So obviously created in Carrara but also using Inagoni Veloute and Primivol, DigitalCarversGuild AnythingGoos, DAZ Clyde Puffer. The Volkswagens are from the Carrara content CD but everything else apart form the steam boats is modelled by me. Some postwork done in Photoshop (done since the contest as no postwork was allowed). ** EDIT ** Here's a link to the WIP thread at digitalpainters.net showing the progress of the contruction of this pic.

Truly stands out as an excellent render, although one tiny criticism. The green, (grass or low vegetation) would not go all the way up to meet the snowline in a mountain range. That band would more likely be rock and dirt and then your tree line would begin and low vegetation would start below that. Take that green band out and make it rock and you couldn't produce a more convincing image I think. Terrific detail in every way, bravo Howie.
