Looks pretty good. It would probably be more effective if it didn't completely dwarf the egg by such a huge amount. And if the springs were rusty, if could prove to be rather effective in the long run if used against something other than an object. But that's probably not the point. And I'm not thinking all too clearly at the moment, so feel free to ignore anything I've said. What did you model and render this in?

LOOKS PRETTY COOL TO ME, AND NOT THAT I CAN TALK SHIT OR BAD CAUSE IM NOT GREAT AT ALL, BUT OU SHOULDVE MADE THE ENTRY PIONT WHERE THE SPRING GOES INTO THE SOCK OR WHATEVER WITH SOME SORT OF INDENTATION OR SHADING. BUT LIKE I SAID I REALLY HAVE NO ROOM TO TALK, IT LOOKS REALLY COOL!

Thanks for the comments folks. I think I WILL try to make some marks in the burlap where the springs are sticking out, rust may improve the overall reality of the mace, and I too have had bad run-in's with bedsprings... perhaps some rubberized tips would make for a decrease in accidental gougings.... Thanks large 'beans.

i laughed heartily, excellent theme and idea. the springs are superb, the cloth covering is even better, and how did you texture the shaft?..you got the grain just right. theres sod al i could critique it on,other than theres no hair tangled in the springs ;)))) j/k
