Description

Your entire music library is at our disposal on your iPod and we've a full tank of gas. We have little need for anything else. Well, except maybe an abundance of sunshine and blue skies. There is little else I look forward to more than our road trips. We go where we want, when we want, and stop at any place that we feel like stopping. I love it when we both cry out "Pull over!" at the same time and the engine has barely turned off before we're out the door staring at the incredible beauty of the scenery before our eyes. And we stand holding each other marveling at yet another memory shared and enjoyed in each other's company. You drive while I play DJ with the iPod. Often when you think I'm not looking I glance in your direction and each and every time I cannot help but catch my breath. I wish that you could see yourself through my eyes. You are happy and carefree and your eyes sparkle with excitement. The relaxed curvature of your lips and easy smile speaks of pure contentment. Window rolled down , your elbow resting comfortably on the frame as your other hand steers the wheel. The sunlight in your soft brown and golden hair makes my heart skip a beat. The tender moments when you reach for my hand or gently brush my cheek, quickens my pulse. There are long moments of meaningful silence, it's not because I don't have anything to say. It's simply because I am at a loss for words. I'm not sure which touches and excites me more; the sights and new experiences or just simply being with you. I know now as I've always known - the destination doesn't matter as long as we travel this road together.

Exquisitely writen! I'd love to one day see that same beauty through my eyes! Wonderful to have a companion to share these feelings with, and this sounds like you do! :) Bravo!
