Description

This was my entry for the digitalpainters.net landscape contest. As there was no post work allowed this is a straight Carrara render. Thanks for looking. All comments welcome. Word Machine and GeoControl for the Terrains, Hex 2 for custom leaf modelling, everything else C5Pro.

This is an astonishingly convincing composition, as well as a spectacular one. I still haven't got into GeoControl properly, but an image like this is a real spur to do so.

Looks a lot like a tributary of the Colorado River that I used to hike around. Excellent work.

I miss the clouds in the sky a little bit, but on the other hand this really fits to the scene. The water and the shoreline including the plants are exceptional. What a great piece of art!
