Description

My sister lives in the country in a big farm house. There's always something or other buzzing around. She has a side door that is seldom used. I found one of these drones in the house and tired to let him put the door when I saw this hive. Shock and horror turned to fascination. I closed the door so they wouldn't get in the house; went around to the other side and took this picture. Few of them flew into the camera but I stood my ground until I got my shot. Thanks for viewing!

WOW great shot ! These little buggers can and will sting the dickens out of you if you make them mad There sting is not like a honey bee, paper wasp can sting multiple times, and they can fly faster than most people can run. Great shot & keep looking around you will find lots of critters to take pics of.

Interesting shot indeed! you've gotta have nerves of steel for this kind of shot.

Wow you are brave! I will shoot them up close when they are away from the hive, but after being stung on the nose by one after venturing too close to a hive there is no way I would be brave enough for a shot like this. Anyway your bravery paid off, excellent shot!
