BIO
Since 1993 the Dutch couple, Willem and Madeleine, have been working together in different fields of the arts and chose Hyperborea, as their professional name.
Being sculptors by trade, they have created a substantial collection of stone and bronze sculptures.
They've discovered the realm of computer graphics and this resulted in a large number of 3D renderings of alien landscapes inhabited with graceful life forms.
Most recently they have been working together on various projects in which they combine their sculptures, 3D artworks and original electronic ambient music into multi-media presentations.
Living in the south of The Netherlands, they have their own gallery and sculpture garden where visitors can experience their work.

These remind me of monks. This is a dark and telling tale. I would like to encourage you also to make some work with pastel colors.

Very surreal image - the elements work well together.

Always intriguing works. Like a good photo from a far place, you want to go and see yourself.

I am really interested in the change in your work. Forgive me for trying to describe it but it seems that the tranquility has gone and something more hidden, and slightly dark, has entered your work. You used to ba able to see for miles and now the viewer is always contained. I really like this one because of the non-organic nature of the flying things. Great work. Tanc
