Description

This is a view of my neighbors farm taken in early morning as the fog started lifting. Sorry if you recognize and are bored with the view by now, but I LOVE walking near these ponds. Thanks for your views and comments on this and previous posts. Jodie :0)

The mist, the pond, the reflections and those wonderful old brick silos make this a fantastic rural capture. Excellent!

Wonderful capture. Since this is the only the second time I've ever seen this bucolic scene I'm far from being bored. I really like the placid lake, that could pass as a mirror.

It could almost go through as a "lost city" in all its mystique rising above the mist. OK, I get carried away, LOL! It is as tranquil as it is secretive. I would love to see the silos mirrored - excellent!

I wanted to comment on this for a while, and now I do...I think morning shots of open fields, etc. are challenging because it's so easy to make them 'sweet', it's the kind of image that's easy for the photographer and easy for the viewer. But this is a really delicate & beautiful capture, it's so far beyond what commercial photography does with these scenes, and it's one of the reasons I liked it from the start. (It was a fav waiting to happen.) The sweep of the pond is picked up effortlessly in the sweep of the mist, and the sky picks that up in its naturally softened hues. You've got a beautiful slope in the land, and it seems to slope upwards a little at the other end (a nice inclusion), and the reflections are just perfect, not too many, beautifully placed, as is the treeline in harmony with the silo. Above all there's a Jodie 'fineness', 'raffine', a delicate refinement that gives it a perfection; and that, in the end, is the final caress of your eye. Simple, beautiful & loving, and a fav from the minute I found it some months ago...
