It's metal, but it's not shining. It's really opaque... quite difficult to render...

You might want to try thin "noise" on the specularity layer of material representing the metal to get closer to a matt-metal effect. Good Luck.

I used to use the SRT 101 till I let it go. Now I wish I hadn't along with my Cannon A1.. Good modeling

Wow, wish I could grasp 3D modelling like that - I couldn't get the hang of Rhino. Very realistic, nicely rendered :) Good attention to detail also, which is important I think ;)
