I found Renderosity late on in 2003 and have since become an avid viewer of the tremendous talent on display. My contribution is just pictures I've drawn, daft sketches, favorite photos (mostly of landscapes and mountain days out) and comments and laughs with other members. Thanks to all at Renderosity and to people who contribute some amazing images and ideas.

Was there last year, but the Nevis range was clouded out. I once knew one of the original SAS who trained here before he joined the Chindits in WWII. This monument (beautifully lit) means something very special to me. Lovely.

A beautiful capture and tribute to brave Brits! I'm with Zacko on the silhouettes.

Beautifully backlit with knife sharp shilouettes - Excellent work!

Very evocative and powerful. As a matter of interest, there was a fabulously talented Fort William-based photographer, called Roberto Matassa. Does anyone know if he is still active? In the early eighties, in that part of Scotland (which went right up to Ross & Cromarty), there were postcards and there were postcards by Roberto Matassa.

Just raises the hairs on the back of one's neck, this one, Anthony. One of my neighbours used to 'work' out of Malta, during 1942-43, but, as with most veterans, would never really talk about his wartime experiences. I know neighbours of my mother who never really settled back into civvy life after it all ended. Regards, John.

Ah, this one... brings back memories as I'm sure I remember seeing it myself. I love the way you've composed this with the light behind the figures. Very successful shot.

I like the way you have handled this image - we stayed in a B&B a few hundred yards from this monument - in fact a member of our camera club is staying there for 3 nights around now. He is hoping to climb Ben Nevis.
