Description

This lovely relic of time and weather was protruding out of a piece of driftwood on San Francisco Bay, very near the Golden Gate Bridge. My trip to California was quite an experience. It was my last day there when I took this photograph. The first day I arrived, it was 120 degrees. When I took this shot, it was 58. I was shivering so hard, that I'm kind of amazed the shot came out. So, lets do the math. 120-58= 62. I saw a full 62 degrees temperature shift in the span of a week. How rare that is! "The coldest winter I ever saw was the summer I spent in San Francisco." ---Mark Twain Thanks to everyone who commented on yesterday's upload. I appreciate it more than words can express :)

Okay...my turn to show off...hrrmm...so it dropped 35C in one week? From having been 49C to be only 14C...wow...that really is alot!!!! The worst ive ever experienced was when it dropped from 0C/32F to -30C/-22F over night. That came as quite a shock when i woke up let me tell ya, LOL. Appareantly mr Twain never visited us eskimoes. #:op Beautiful photo of an ugly subject. Thats what i love about photography...when performed correctly, you can actually turn an ugly thing into something beautiful. As you just did. Have a wonderful day Jen. #:O)

I love the way you can take a plain old everyday thing and make it beautiful with a camera. Who'd have thought a rusted out old nut and bolt could look so wonderful? Great job on this one!
