Description

The wall that runs along the north side of Glen Coe is known as the Aonach Eagach (The notched ridge). There is a Munro at either end of the ridge. These can be climbed separately, but that would mean you'd miss out on all the fun. The traverse of the ridge involves some pretty exposed moves, and there's scrambling up and around the "crazy pinnicles" (in the picture). Once on the ridge theres no way off until the very end,.... a bit like Renderosity I suppose. I've been up to the first Munro twice, intending to cross the ridge. Both times the weather turned into howling wind and driving rain....both times we chickened out. I'll get ye...I will, one day I'll get ye!

Wonderful photo, scary - but wonderful. I'm glad to see that a strapin' Lad, like yerself has the good sense to not cross the ridge in a storm. Keep safe. HUGS!!

You should have called me to act as your guide.lol. Stunning photo with a huge sense of height and power caused by that diagonal running through the photo. "Cold is the snow that covers Glen Coe" and all that.

Much as I admire the view I too would chicken out as I'm not that nimble in good weather even. :)

Good sense prevailed, or was that the weather, Anthony? Nice shot. How did you get it to stop raining? ;o) Regards, John.

Man this are some majestic peaks~ I don't blame you for not completing the hike in foul weather....better to err on the side of safety, these mountains look unforgiving, but that's what makes this such an awesome shot! Great shot Anthony! Aloha~
