Description

Antwerp ( Belgium) in the background Our Lady's Gothic Cathedral 123 m and our "skyscraper", this tower is the seat of the Kredietbank, one of the important Belgian banks. It was built in 1930 in art deco style. It is 97 m high and is considered by most as the first 'skyscraper' in Europe. The Antwerpians call it the 'Boerentoren' (= farmers tower) because the farmers were the most important clients of the Kredietbank in the first half of the 20th century.

Well, well, well ! I didn't know "all about the Kredietbank" Is n't it a shame ! You know what I like very much ? The faded colours of the towers in the background ! Aren't you going to show us a really good looking "young" sailor"?

In my language Croatian Mir means Peace! First moment I though that I am looking at my born town Split - with Chatedral in the middle - and that you been there in the harbour! It's very similar! If you never been in my country I wish you - it's so beautiful with many old places like Split (we celebrate 1700 years of the town)! This is very beautiful photo and of course fantastic shot!!!
