Description

Created using UF. Haven't sat at my PC for over a month now and taken the time to create anything. Besides decorating (which turned into more of a renovation job), I'd pretty much given up creating fractal art for good. Realised that after 2 years, fractal art had taken up every corner of my life and had become such an obsessive addiction, it was time to let it go. That was until earlier this week. It's taken a couple of days to get started again. At first I just couldn't create anything. A little perseverance and several days later I created this image. I've also created a pre-fossillized image, which my daughter says it reminds her of Prawn Cocktail, bless her. It's rendering away and if it turns out OK, I'll upload it too. It may be my last for sometime, but I'll try to find a little time now and again to create something. Thanks for veiwing Heather

I know what you mean about the obsession. I recently took two months off too because I needed to breath some real -not virtual- air. Curiously, I ended up painting the house. I wonder if this activity is intrinsically healing! I'll be sorry if you stop posting, your fractals have always inspired me and this one is SO very beautiful. Texture and composition are perfect but I think it's the highlights that make the image. Cheers and see "you" soon -I hope.

I'm really glad to see you post Heather, it can be very difficult sometimes to balance home life with computers, my wife moans @ me (with good reason at time), but I say she watches the TV and is force fed information, useually mindless, at least i'm useing my grey matter to do something stimulating and creative, I think you should try Vue Easel, it's fairly cheap and still implements most of the goodies of the larger sibling and you'll have someone to guide you through, or even Bryce which is free over at DAZ, there is a load of freebies for that as well, personally I think it would be like a duck to water and you can always combine the two progs with a paint program and produce a combined stunning image which brings me around nicelly to your latest offering, I'm sure subconsciously your feeling down as well this image has very eearie eyeballs staring from the deep LoL, quite quite spooky and beautiful at the same time. This is just beautiful! I know what you mean about keeping a balance. Sometimes it's hard, sometimes you simply have to walk away for a while.

Don't give up, Heather! Balance, yes - but this kind of talent is few and far between, and a real treat to see posted. The way you manage texture, perspective, and light (I really like the embossed look of the spirals) is a great inspiration.
