Very cool fantasy scene! The only way I can render scenes with more than a few characters, is by making some of them invisible and render it in several passes, then composite it in Photoshop. I don't have Vue yet, but it seems that it can render multiple character scenes more easily than Poser (but someone else will know better than me for sure).

Superb scene, and i'd have to agree with Jadelu. It's a pain, but it works out.

Awesome scene! I can't render more than one character at a time with Poser 6. But with Vue I can get a few in the render, and many if I use the ecosystem. (See my Evil Rules part one, my first experiment). I noticed your image was only 105 KB which is small for the dimensions. If you can keep the memory usage down like this, you should be able to get lots of characters in the scene, but you will lose some of the details. I often have to combine Vue and Poser, and then composite everything in PS. There are people here with much better ideas, I'm sure. Excellent work here, regardless!

Excellent job. I remember there was a guy here who used to do massive battle scenes, thousands of figures. He had a tutorial on how he grouped the divisions, some were low poly count and the closer to the camera the detail got higher. He had some insightful tips. Sorry I can't remember his name but an image he had done of a castle siege was one of Renderosity's top rated pieces.
