Abreojos means "open eyes" in Spanish. I live on the tip of Baja California and Colorado before that.
2013 update. Had to go to work in the states since the crash of 2008. Speend my summers in ND working. Spring and summer in the southwest and winters home in Cabo. Got back into photography and am enjoying that far more than digital landscape programs for many reasons but mainly because it get me away from the computer and out in the world again!
Since I Started playing around with digital art several years ago and have created images I never thought I had the talent to create. I have learned from many great artist in this community since IÂ became a member IÂ believe back in 2002. Â Thanks for stopping by!

I like it a lot! I'd set the water's transparency higher and be able to barely see the surface. Great render my friend!!!

An original creation, but perhaps with a bigger terrain size it could be better.

Outstanding render Joe... I would definitely love to see it much larger. The mood it imparts is a land left after a great cataclysm. Superb pov, surfacing water light it all blends to make this an outstanding render.

This is a fascinating POV and surface compo- I might take out the orange-red clay material at the water surface, but by all means, render larger- wonderful ideas going on here!

Great work takes hours sometimes!!! Lots of water always does take hours, but it is well worth it when it is done. As an overlay advocate, I really like this one Joe. If you would set of water's transparancy a little lower, so that as you move away from the foreground you are not able to see what is under the water as well, doesn't take much. Then pump that baby up to about 3000x2400 start the render and go to bed!!! It may be done when you get home from preaching the next day!!! Or not, LOL!!!! But you will Love it when it is finished!!!! 5 by 5 Work here Bro. Missed your work, it is good to see it agian ;~)
