Description

One of my mother's sunflowers. Every year she plants them next to the light pole in her yard. And every year she has to tie them to the pole to help them stay up. This little guy actually has his head up so I was able to get a good shot. Hope you all have a wonderful week and thank you for looking. (all comments are welcomed)

Nice shot of the sunflower, which sports a surfeit of petals. Sunflowers are a popular subject to photograph in the flower world. There are so many varieties of the species. What are those little reddish thingies growing around the outside of the center part?
