The tail marking of N3N-3 signifies a Naval Aircraft Factory "Yellow Peril" training aircraft that was instrumental in making Navy and Marine Corps pilots during WWII. It was the last biplane type to be retired by the Navy in 1961. Our sleeping pilot has it painted as a Naval aircraft from 1930s, possibly from the USS Ranger with the green tail. However, you would have had to wake him up and ask about what it's supposed to be. The Felix the Cat symbol was used by fighters flying Grumman F3F fighters at the time. Anyway, it's a great capture!
