Description
Using just vine charcoal, I completed this drawing to be as subtle as possible. When drawing dinosaurs in the flesh, I like to create everyday poses, animals drinking, resting in the shade; anything that takes a less dramatic approach to their portrayal. Granted, the last image I posted broke this pattern, but it's only a general rule. With this charcoal piece of the Oviraptor skull, i was hoping to maintain that subtlety from my life drawings. It's there, but it's very light and against a slightly darkened background.
