Thanks for posting this ... I was once the proud owner of a '58 BelAire & DelRay -- my brother owned a '58 Impala. Excellent photography and retouch. :-)

The near candy apple is interesting. Apparantly this owner could not decide between sports and custom and has very frisky hubcaps and no needle nose bubble skirts. Absence makes the heart grow fonder. What it longs for is amazing. There's a freshness to 1958!

is that a 55' chevy directly in front of the the 58'? during the mid sixties a Mexican friend had a 58 chevy and he had no papers to be in the US. anyway the immigration had caught him several times and they knew if they told him to leave he would get on the bus and return to Mexico. well with his car, presented a problem. he asked them for a 3 day permission to sell his car and they told him it was okay. he left promptly after selling it, to Mexico. well later he returned after several weeks, and they caught him again. this time he spent 2 months in the Vinita jail house waiting for a bus to deport him. he died in Monterrey at the young age of 41 with a liver ailment excellent job on color removal and capture

The red against the black and white is very effective and shows this beauty off to perfection!
