Description

Captain Caroline DuBois had captured Mary but she had originally wanted to capture Margiana (the daughter of a Prince) so that she could demand a huge ransom. Caroline signalled Mary's ship La Sirene to do a trade - Margiana for their Captain. Reluctantly La Sirene rendezvoused with The Black Heart and two planks were laid between them, one for Mary to walk across while Margiana walked across the other into the clutches of the evil Caroline. The two friends exchanged glances, neither happy with the situation but neither seeing a way out... ** To Be Continued ** I have sweated blood over this one, and in the end had to make a few compromises but I hope that it comes across and it is worth it! I recommend viewing in full for all the detail. When I wrote the original outline, this was one of the scenes that came most vividly to my mind, and I so wanted to do it justice. Thanks as ever for looking, and all feedback is very welcomed. Credits as for previous parts of the story.

That's very cool! I love images with a story and I think you pulled this off nicely! Must have been a beast to render too with 8 figures, I assume you did it in several passes and composited it afterwards?

I love female pirates. I'll have to show this one to my buddy over at Daz who's a big pirate fanatic.

It is really a shame, I missed Capt. Mary Morgan before. That is really something. Besides the great render, the idea to do this is already outstanding!

This is the best so far and I'm glad to see that working more and more on the story you improve your renders and your scenes with many figures and details all and more...excellent way to go! :)

Thanks for the feedback on this. Jadelu - glad you are following the whole story, thanks for your support. And yes, I am able to render 2-3 figures at a time and then composite them. This obviously requires a bit of pre-planning so that (hopefully) the final picture looks integrated and the characters interacting, even they were rendered separately. You have to be so careful to keep the lighting and camera angle the same and not fiddle! I needed about 8 different layers for this one in the end with key characters having two passes, one using the P4 renderer (I think textures look better with this) and one using Firefly raytraced (for the shadows).

Wow, this one's a masterpiece of planning. Brilliant concept, composition and execution! I suspected you had a good story outline, the story is very cohesive and doesn't meander about as I've seen in other series.
