took this 2-2004 at Red Rock out side of Vegas hope your weekend will be to your liking and thanks for your comments at one time there was a quarry here before the government made it a park. many of the stones used in old Vegas came from here.they hauled on wagons pulled by horse or mules

Damn those choices. When we were in Vegas a few weeks ago, we also wanted to explore the region around Vegas. We had to make a choice and decided to visit Valley of Fire State Park (photos to come in near future). But looking at above scenery... I'm afraid I have to return in future. Unfortunately I have to travel more than 6000 miles again... Thanks for sharing!

Beautiful landscape. If the boulders in the foreground are natural I can see why stones from this place were used as building materials - they're almost ready for use as is! Very nice!
