It's amazing how angling the subject matter gives vitality to an image. Yet the overall softness gives a gentle delicacy. There is something medieval about the chequered forms. I like too the quiet edges. They bound the composition.

Are you sure you want critique? I miss contrast here. Too light, too similarly light.
