Description

The Agave Plant- A Plant with long spiny (very spiny) leaves of the lily family. There are more than 400 species, all native to North America and mostly to Mexico. Tequila is made exclusively from the agave azul (Blue Agave) that grows in semiarid soils and takes from 8 to 12 years to mature. No Tequila in these unfortunately. But thanks to the Blue Agave there was no shortage of tequila later on at a local club for myself and some friends.

Now I know where my Tequila comes from..... Nah, I knew that. Great shot and very informative. Aloha

Lovely Agave. I have 2 or 3 types in my yard but not the tequila kind. I have seen those and they are very pretty with their bluish color. Nice capture.
