I'am just trying to capture movement. This is what I've got so far. Ok, perhaps I took it too literally by carving it into stone. But I think I'm heading at least in the right direction. I hope you have some helpful comments.

Wow! This is really different and a great experiment. Almost reminds me of Indian statues with multiple arms, but not quite, this is unique. Love it!

I used a simple brute force approach. As you can see this is standard Posette. I created an super small animation in poser. Exported every frame as separate object. Imported all of them in 3dsmax, put the stonewall material to all of them. Placed some lights, choose a nice viewpoint and hit render. An yes, I had something like the hindu goddess Kali in mind. In fact, she fits perfectly, because the her name is the female form of the sanscrit word 'kala' which means 'time'.
