Description
In the early 70's the best SF movie was Solaris and the best horror film was the Wicker Man with Christopher Lee as Lord Summerisle. They've already refilmed Solaris and today the new version of the Wicker Man opens up.
This was my version. It was a ballet to the music 'Ommadawn'by Mike Oldfield. And was a sort of English countryside 'Rite of Spring'in which the Parson was seduced by the ballerina while in the background the corps du ballet built the Wicker Man (
more of a lady really!) to sacrifice him in.

I have not seen the film but this image it's really interesting and suggestive. It could be a stupendous theatrical scene! Great work. Bravo!!!

I love the image, in fact I thought I had already commented on it, (my mind is not what it was) I love the sense of scale and the different realities I see in it. There's the real dancer, an expressive wicker man and somewhat elusive and even mysterious dark figures and huge color splashes in the back. Very rich space....

Hay there, OK I really like this, but it's a bit creepy to me, it looks like a witch burning the dead Christain that burnt the dancinmg lady in a life time before, or am I just paranoid? However I think it is Excelent art and wonderful color themes. Well done hun, this is a great piece of art work. DeathTwister aka Maylock http://theatomizer.com http://texturesource.org

Nice! I liked the 70's version of the movie better. It was perfect the way it was. The remake didn't have the same "twist". Your painting sets the tone very nicely.
