Description

Well, I've been working on this character in the past. I decided to pick it back up when I gained a little more confidence with the software. She's a character from a story I've been constructing. Her name is Nuununzia Hockpeaple; she's a surveyer for a mining outfit started by two other characters. I still have some work to do on the ears.

I think she is very cool looking and your modeling skills look up to par. A few critiques though, her eye's, nose, mouth and ears demonstrate that she is an alien, but the second set of eye's bothers me. or maybe its becasue she doesn't look somewhat human that distracts me. People are always have a hard time with creatures we don't relate to. but for me the second set of eye's are trying to hard to be "alien". Also, from the profle view, the base of the neck where her skull meets is to far forward. Maybe extend the back of the neck out and bring in the front to make her jawline a little more pronounced. Other than my two cents, i think it's off to a great start.

Thanks for the critique, Pitbull and Nancy. Vivid comments are always helpful and just what Im looking for. Critiquing an alien character is difficult since extremities are...well... alien to us. Even a human character can be hard with so many varying bone structures per individual. The eyes do look out of place, but I should have given a bit more of a character bio to explain her features. She is actually a mix of two other characters made before her. One character has four full eyes, the same snout, but no nose. The other has only two full eyes, long ears, and more of a human-like snout with a regular nose. Now, both species genes want to be the most dominant, so they mix like oil and water. As a result, any offspring between the two is unsuccessful. However, Nuun is the one-of-a-kind exception thanks to some setbacks in her parents DNA that helped the genes pair up, but not without a little give and take. Because of this, she has four eyes, but the two tops are underdeveloped due to her brow structure. Her nose is a mix of the two as well as her jaw line. Right now, Im making the chin more pointed. I see what you mean. Ill do some work on the neck and jaw line; it makes her head look too far forward anyway.
