Description

G'day. This is a Blue Wren (a male) from Lilydale Lake, Australia. These birds are only small at about 5 to 7 cm in body size and the females are usually fairly plain brown (ie: we dont need to impress anyone!!). I took this with lots of patience, a 300mm lens and higher iso setting given the dark conditions under the trees. Its a bit dark but still shows the nice blues of the wren (male) species. Enjoy Lou

This is a bird that I saw on many postcards but just missed on my visit sadly. You did so well because wrens are such busy small birds.
