Description

This one is dedicated to our dear Professor Hopalong. If I may be so bold as to quote him: "Simple politeness and consideration of others dictate that all animated thumbs appear as the main post.." ~ Hopalong How true good sir. This is an animation made from shots I took of an immature Bald Eagle, at Dillmans Resort in Wisconsin. I cut each body out from it's background and placed it over a background I created to match the originals, in order to make them consistent for a loop animation. The main post, and the thumbnail are the same. Happy Saturday! ; )

Oh well done! I dunno about hopalongs' quote though, sometimes a cropped thumbnail can add mystery and give a pleasant suprise upon opening the pic. I like the eagle though, good work. Jenny

Great work, but I would be in favor of a new category at Renderosity for all the artists who would like to upload animations.

A study very much developed from Muybridge. Did he ever tackle a bird of prey? He would have loved this, although I think he would have used a grid, don't you? The work you put into this regarding the background certainly paid off. You've really got me hooked on this anim-gif lark, Eric. Can't wait to post another!

Very well done animation, fantastic thumbnail :) You're not wasting your time, Eric :) I only saw eagles few times, they're huuuge and amazing birds. By the way, did I say 'Friday' in my last comment? Time goes so fast during weekends (sigh)...

Absolutely superb animation, my dear Doctor Digimon, and am flattered and touched by the dedication. I note also that we are on the same page in regard to the thumbnails being the main gallery, with the images in the main gallery as, if you will, a kind of appendage and private part. So many here thoughtlessly and indecently post the images in the privacy of the main gallery, indulging in all sorts of filth, like nudity abd genital contact, that it is all to easy to realize that Renderosity is an Artists' Community, a family site, and a public forum, owned and administered by guardians of the public morals who have nothing but the welfare and well-being of the artists, their audiences, the commonwealth in which we all reside, and yea, the world at large, including the good people of Iran, Iraq, and Lebanon, and even France and Quebec and Louisiana (that means you jocko500), Russia, Canada, Minnesota. Money and gain matters little to great-hearted souls such as these, who have taken the time to educate us, who spend their hours, their days, their years pouring over images to gently excise any matter even distantly damaging to the public morals. A swimming female figure with a de facto compression artifact thong, how harmless it seems to some of us, unthinking and untrained in the perversions of the the human psyche and humanity. Our guardians know better--they know what vice and corruption lie within an innocent imagination presented with such a dangerous collection of pixels, and we owe them an enormous debt. A Poser female figure with the genitals turned off riding astride the back of another Poser figure, male--we, in our innocence and naivite--might laugh, as it at some childish jest, but our guardians know where this leads, and with a generosity almost divine, save us from our unkowing, keep us on the path of purity and virtue. Let this mighty naked, underage Eagle in flight, with its genitals still pre-pubescent, be a symbol of our gratitude to these invaluable censors of our blithe thoughtlessness. And let us now go forward into the real gallery at this site, the thumbnail gallery, where all is purity and light. And let us also thank again the Owner, who makes all this possible for us, poor benighted artists that we are. Oh, Mighty Owner of Renderosity, thank you this day for our daily post, forgive us our trespassses as we forgive the trespasses of others, and keep us on the straight and narrow of uprightness and reverence. Amen.

How in the face of such awe and majesty, did you ever get such shots? I would have forgotten I was even holding a camera, which I rarely do for just that reason, let alone point focus and shoot. Thanks for sharing. BJ
