Description
Gorstan is a clever goblin who slipped away with some of his companions during the seige of Minas Tirith to survive another day. After the end of the war of the ring. They were hiwaymen who lived off unsuspecting travellers in Mirkwood.
Modeled the characters in Wings3D and rendered in bryce. Textured and postwork in photoshop. I lack a decent hair renderer and came up with a unsuitable solution. I think in the future I will make creatures without hair for something like this. Overall I like the characters. I am going for more of a dark humor look to it.

I always wondered what all the orcs and goblins did after the fall of Sauron. Little chance I guess of them settling down to a peaceful coexistance with their neighbors to the west! Greg

The trident and sword dualism has been well worked out in the arena pictures. Now the mace and sword have to get beyond Ivanhoe. As I remember it one engages at lance then close to mace and finally if unhorsed goes at it with sword. Spherical spiked maces and cylindrical fluted maces contest the middle ground. But then I was never there and time does not dim the imagination.
