Description

Duck Pond, Ridgewood NJ This area is actually a path on a trail I frequent. When ever it rains it reminds me of a swamp. I do look forward to catching a fog lifting here. I always find this to be a relaxing veiw. I do hope that all is having a wonderful holiday weekend.

Beautiful photo of a wonderful looking place Michelle. I adore a place like this.. especially the ones that go for many miles in all directions with no people to hassle with and no litter, running engines, sirens, etc, to distract. Just simple nature, with the sights, smell and sounds of a simple day, far away from civilization. Life is always a struggle, but it's places like this that can make life bearable. It's a gorgeous view! It reminds me of Mulawa. My friend Peter Hewitt is from Australia and has created 2 computer games and in one of them is a series of shots from a forest there. This is very similar. I am amazed that two places so far apart can look so similar. Very lovely! BTW, did you know that NJ has more paved area per square mile than any other state? It is also the garden state and I have often wondered why it is called that. Show me some beautiful gardens :)
