'bin told that there's been quite a few people mugged around there, but the sunset and the beach were too beautiful to miss.

Thanks for the comments :D fortunately there was a guard (though he seemed to be chilling out a bit farther up along the beach) and since i was there with a few friends, the likeliness of being mugged was decreased.

What a wonderful shot, I think part of its beauty is that it's so simple. Fabulous mood, although that smidgeon of light is distracting. Very nice work indeed!

Isn't is the place in Tanzania from where slaves were shipped translated as something live "leave your hope"? I was there in the 70s. A superb shot!

Yes it was... slave shipping from bagamoyo to zanzibar then to the rest of the world... quite a macabre history to a beautiful place... and thank you :)
