Description

OK, so as many of you know I play a Harry Potter RP game Virtual Hogwarts and post much of my stuff and do many of my renders for others in the game. I'm also trying without much luck to get somebody...anybody really...lol...to give Poser a try, but with it's cost am having difficulties. So I've also pointed out that DAZ|Studio is free. So with that in mind I thought I'd at least try my hand at a D|S render as a demo of what you could do with freebies. Sounded like a great idea at the time, and I did manage this which while not my best effort doesn't look terrible either. lol. But man, after using Poser for 2 years and only having done 3 or 4 renders with the D|S beta before I got Poser it was really hard to figure out how to do ANYTHING! The character's a Vali freebie, pretty3d made the Fairy Tale costume, Swam & Out Of Touch did the hair, and the lights and BG are all freebies as well, though I'm too lazy to dig out the readme's and identify who. Sorry. :) Hope the holiday weekend's going great for those of you who have one. Mine's keeping me from the PC somewhat, so I'll be behind in my commenting 'til next week probably. :) John

You know.. Content Paradise is giving FREE registered copies of Poser 5 away to anyone that wants one (and is a site member.. which is free) until Sept. 4th. You can find it under thier freebie section. That takes the major cost out of it (plus M3 and V3 are free at Daz) ... maybe that may persuade them?
