Description

This is a shot I had almost discarded. Nothing seemed just right about the others taken the same early morning. I looked at this again and decided to give it a chance. Deer hopped and leaped like gazelles in front of us, disappearing into the morning mist. The sun was not seen until later, a surprise and higher than wanted once it showed through the vapor. Still, this is it. Sunrise in the morning mist. It was a beautiful morning altogether. Nikon D200, spot meter, 1/400sec, f/18,ISO 200, 28mm.

Beautiful shot, Tom. That sun is huge while magnified in that mist! I'm glad you chose to keep it.

One thing I seem to remember when seeing mist is the immense silence prevailing. Very well captured.

I can almost feel the dampness in the air, saturating any exposed skin, leaving behind small droplets that slowly slide off the hand and down to the thirsty ground below. Wonderful Capture Tom!
